Relativity Promo

Michael Schiller: Welcome to Relativity, the show where we tell family stories. I'm Michael Schiller, and I'm here with someone who punched me in the stomach and stole my stuff.

Lauren Schiller: Hey, Mikey. That was a long time ago.

MS: My big sister, Lauren Schiller.

LS: That would be me. In this show we look at the wonderful and not so great things about family…

MS: … As we try to unravel our own family's mysteries. It's a show about family that's not so family friendly.

LS: ...You're right. It definitely gets a little dark.

Susan: it was under really unpleasant, violent, terrible circumstances. So, I don't know if that's what you want to include in it

Michael: I guess I want the whole story

Susan: They were very much involved with speed and the making of methamphetamine

MS: Every episode, we investigate family myths and legends that take us through surprising and pivotal moments in history.

Interviewer: I had heard that you were the first person in New York city and your gallery to show only abstract painters

Rose: Yes I showed them all…Paul Klee, Fernand Léger, Marcel  Duchamp…

LS: Starting with what we grew up hearing about our own family.

Mona: Fighting against Mussolini and against Franco of Spain

Viki: Einstein and his wife became part of their lives.  And my cousins referred to him as uncle Albert

MS: Stories that have been passed down for generations.

Marvin: And they were instrumental in devising the earliest versions of  television

LS: Some that seem too outrageous to be true

Joan: We thought of him as a gigolo

Mona: And I got on my knees and I pull him down and stab him

Susan: Her story toward the end is pretty sordid connected with this doctor…

MS: This is with Dr. Feelgood right?

TOM: Dr. Feelgood. That's right.
